4000 Watts of Savings With Solar Power

4000 Watts of Savings With Solar Power

For a solar Powered system on your home, you need modules, along with an Inverter. The size of the system depends upon what you want to run within your home. What do you want your savings to be? Inverters come in different sizes according to the amount of energy produced from your modules. Modules come in different watts. They can have up to 300 watts per module. You can series smaller panels of 120 watts or 175 watts to increase the voltage. How much is that going to save you per month?

For example, look at a 4000 watts (or 4 KW) solar Powered system for your home. If that system produces 4000 watts, you multiply that times the amount of sun Lights that is recommended for your area of the country. For instance, in the south, it would be 6 hours, or 24000 watts. Then you multiply those 24000 watts times 30 days which is like a billing cycle. That increases your wattage to 720,000 watts per month that you would be producing. Then you multiply that by what your utility company Charges you per kilowatt hour. The national average is Body.13. So, 13 cents times 720,000 watts equals .60. So for a 4000 watt system, you would save an average of .00 a month on your electric bill.

Other factors that must be considered for designing your solar Powered system are

• how much sun shine
• how many Lights you use
• how much array you are going to get

The sun comes up every day. Your solar system will still produce energy on cloudy days but it does not produce as much on cloudy days. It is only when it is dark outside that you will not get sunLight. When the sun goes down you will not produce Power.

Look at your electrical bill to see if your power company breaks down your bill. Some companies will divide the total bill into kilowatt hours (kwh) and fuel adjustment costs. That makes it look like you are paying less per kilowatt hour. If you add that back in and then figure your cost kwh, you may be surprised to see how much you actually are paying. Your costs may jump above the national average of Body.13 per kwh depending upon the month and the energy demand.
